1. Data controller
IPv6 Speedtest (ipv6speedtest.eu) is the data controller for the data processed through this website. For questions about this privacy policy, please contact us via the contact form on the website.
2. What data do we collect?
We collect as little personal data as possible. Data we do not collect or store ourselves:
- IP addresses of visitors;
- Individual speed test results;
- Personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.).
We only process aggregated, non-identifiable statistics for tracking website traffic.
3. The speed test (nperf)
The speed test on our website is provided by nperf (nperf.com), a third-party service. When performing a speed test, data is processed by nperf, potentially including:
- Your IP address (for selecting the nearest test server);
- The measured download and upload speed and ping;
- Technical data about your connection (provider, connection type).
nperf is the data controller for this data. We do not receive personal data from nperf; only aggregated, non-identifiable statistics are available to us. Please consult nperf's privacy policy for more information.
4. Cookies
We do not place any cookies on your device ourselves. The embedded nperf widget may place technically necessary cookies required for the operation of the speed test. These cookies are outside our control; see nperf's cookie policy.
If you see AdSense advertisements, Google may place cookies for personalised advertising. You can object via Google Ads Settings.
5. Web server log files
Our hosting provider automatically records standard server log files containing:
- IP address of the visitor;
- Date and time of the request;
- Requested URL and HTTP status code;
- Browser type (user agent).
This data is used exclusively for identifying technical problems and security incidents, and is automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 days. No link is made to personal data.
6. Legal basis
To the extent that we process personal data, we do so on the basis of:
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): technical security and analysis of website traffic.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to your personal data;
- Right to rectification or erasure;
- Right to restriction of processing;
- Right to data portability;
- Right to object to processing.
Please contact us via the website to submit a request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
8. Security
